NIST Summer Research Internships/Project work/industrail training and Fellowships with stpiend

Applications are invited from highly motivated, talented eligible B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA/M.Scstudents and faculty of Engineering Institutes of India for Summer Research Fellowships (for Faculty) and Summer Research Internships (for Students). The aim of the program is to facilitate talented student interns/faculty to work under the guidance of highly experienced research professors resulting in R & D publications, Term Papers, innovative B.Tech Projects, PhD Topics, etc.

  • Eligibility : For Faculty: Minimum MTech or PhD degree, For Students: Final Year or Pre-Final year B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA/M.Sc
  • Duration : 2 months (starting Tentatively May/June, 2013)
  • Stipend : Rs. 2000/- per month in addition to free boarding & lodging. To-and-Fro Travel Expenses Reimbursed.
  • Research/Project Area Areas : Embedded Systems, Wireless Communications, Sensor Networks, VLSI Design,Distributed signal processing in wireless sensor network, Nanotechnology, Solar cells, Semiconductors Devices, High Performance Computing, Cloud Computing, Parallel Processing, Cryptography ad Network Security, Computer Vision, Graph Mining, Fault Diagnosis in WSN, Low Power FPGA Design, Quantum Semiconductor devices and materials, Controller design of various dynamical systems, Fiber Optics, Virtual Instrumentation, Simulation Studies, Robotics, Fluid flow, Heat and Mass Transfer, CFD , Organic Synthesis. 
  • NIST is a DSIR, Government of India, certified and recognized R & D Center.
    NIST is the only TIFAC CORE Center of India funded by Department of Science & Technology in 3G/4GCommunications.  
  • Applicant should submit the following documents
  • Application form prescribed format
  • A copy of Resume
  • Attached XEROX Copies of all academic mark-sheets (Class X Onwards) /semester grade cards.
  • No Objection Certificate from the parent institution stating the starting and ending dates for carrying out full time research work at NIST, Berhampur under the fellowship program.
  • One photograph (Passport size).
  • One letter of recommendation to be forwarded by the teacher in a sealed envelope (download format).
How to Apply : Applications should be submitted Online through our websites www.nist.edu ;however a hard copy of the application submitted online together with enclosures must be sent by speed post or courier to The Coordinator.The registration number assigned soon after online submission must be quoted in the hard copy of the application.
