National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC) of Department of Space (DOS) provides an opportunity to the students for carrying out projects as part of fulfillment of PG courses only. These allotments are strictly on need-based, depending on the projects/ programmes at NRSC. Application format for the project work at NRSC is available here. With the constraints on infrastructure, support for project work for BE/B.Tech courses is not available anymore. No correspondence is entertained in this regard. The duration of the project work will be for a minimum of 6 months and upto 12 months. Preference is given to the students doing project for a longer duration, e.g., M.Tech students undertake 12 months project.

All the applications/requisitions screened and reviewed by internal committee. The screening is done based on marks, and students with excellent academic record, right from schooling till the present course (first class all through with minimum 70% and above) will be considered. Go to Top

A request letter from the Head of Dept./Principal/Placement Officer of the College/Institute along with student's resume has to be submitted is placed below. The aggregate marks are to be reflected in the resume, which will be verified with your original certificates at the time of joining for project. Resume without request letter from the college and copy of marks memo, will not be accepted. Not more than four students are accommodated from the single college/institute. There will be no financial assistance from NRSC. The outstation students may arrange for their stay at Hyderabad, as NRSC does not provide any accommodation, etc. Go to Top

Keeping in view of the academic calendar of different programmes, two calendar period have been scheduled for students to do project at NRSC. For six months projects (M.Sc (Comp), MCA, MBA.etc.), the project schedule is from January to June. For twelve months project's (for M.Tech) the schedule is from July to June. Students who are applying for six months (during Jan to June) need to apply latest by September 30 . Students who apply for 12 months project (during July to June) need to apply latest by March 31. These selected students will be informed through email after the cut-off dates. Remember to add your email id in the resume , as all the correspondence after receiving your application will be done through email only. The information about the projects will be intimated by October 31 for the first slot and April 30 for the second slot. In case you do not get any intimation from NRSC, the student is requested to try elsewhere and refrain from contacting NRSC. On being selected the student is required to come to NRSC on the dates mentioned along, with a copy of the email regarding the selection. The project confirmation letter along with the details of the project guide will be informed to the student during their visit. Go to Top

Printing and photocopying of the project report has to be done outside NRSC. The report can be taken out of NRSC on a floppy after taking due permission. Go to Top

Certification of the project will be done by the Project Guide at NRSC and by the Head of the College / Dept. of the Institution where the student is studying. There will be no certification of the Internal Guide unless he has enough guiding component. This shall be duly reflected in the project report. Unless the report is completed in all respects and is bound, it will not be cleared by NRSC. Go to Top
